As an e-commerce leader, video content plays a critical role in educating, guiding, and entertaining our customers. Our talented in-house video team continues to grow and take on more diverse projects each year. The Video Production Manager is responsible for all video production workflow and video related projects. This includes ensuring that the in-house team is adequately staffed and properly equipped. Close oversight of the team’s processes and output ensures consistent efficiency and high bar of quality. This Manager collaborates with multiple in-house departments to fulfill requests as well as contribute to building the Tire Rack brand by way of video content.Video content at Tire Rack includes, but isn’t limited to, internal company communications, Tire Rack testing content, product videos, social media, brand recognition content, Tire Rack’s YouTube channel, and national broadcast and digital video advertisements.


 


Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of video team members, as well as hire and develop new video team members

  • Provide guidance to team members regarding the scope and efficiency of each project

  • Showcase creative leadership and provide specific constructive feedback

  • Ensure deadlines are met through carefully planned details and clear accountability

  • Share in scriptwriting, script editing, storyboarding, and creating shotlists, as needed

  • Continually develop and revise project management systems as workload evolves

  • Manage back-end production procedures, from budgeting and purchasing to protocol and guidelines


Qualifications

  • Proven track record as a full scope video producer

  • 2- or 4-year degree in photography, filmmaking, or visual media

  • Proven track record managing video production crews or an internal video team

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of video equipment, editing software, and industry best practices

  • Strong production knowledge of roles, production pipelines, and possess a high bar for quality

  • Strong ability to work and collaborate with your direct-report, skip-level, and across multiple teams
