Job Description

The Supervisor, Material & Production Planning, will be responsible for working closely with Engineering and Production and Procurement teams to identify material requirements and effectively schedule material deliveries. This individual will supervise material/production planners and a logistics coordinator and conduct (advanced) planning in our SAP system.


This individual will need to have a proven track record of experience in a manufacturing environment of highly engineered products and have expert familiarity with MRP systems including S&OP management, MPS creation, EBOM/MBOM alignment and Material Exception review (APICs CPIM certification is highly desired)


Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to): 



  • Establish effective material requirements visibility, including reporting, data accuracy and improvement cadences.

  • Establish effective material supply processes including spot ordering receipt scheduling and requirements contract establishment which aligns with demand.

  • Lead S&OP process.

  • Ensure effective alignment of EBOM and MBOM, including accurate alternate item identification and units of measurements.

  • Participate in Change Control Board as key signature authority.

  • Supervise Material and Production Planners and Logistics specialist.

  • Conduct Material and Production planning for complex modules and order types.



Required Qualifications: 



  • Bachelor’s degree. Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) or Operations background is preferred.

  • 5-10 years related experience in materials management, production planning, or material scheduling in a manufacturing company of highly engineered products is required.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities

  • Expertise in MS Excel

  • Familiarity in SAP is desired.

  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand are required.

  • Experience with NPI (new product implementation) is a plus.

  • Ability to present material status effectively in weekly executive meetings is required.

  • Open-minded, collaborative, and team-oriented attitude is required.

  • Self-motivation and resourcefulness are required.

  • Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision is required.

  • Ability to effectively coach and grow subordinates.

Compensation:


$85,000 - 100,000 /annual salary. Compensation will vary DOE.
