Position Overview:

We are searching for a Senior HR Coordinator who will be responsible for performing a broad range of human resources-related duties for assigned warehouse operations and will work closely with other members of the HR team in support of the business operational needs of the organization.  Duties include but are not limited to the following: 

Key Duties include:

Recruitment, Training, and Onboarding:

 

  1. The ability to support the talent acquisition and recruitment process by assisting with the coordination of job posting, reviewing resumes, performing background and pre-placement testing, and conducting onsite interviews
  2. The ability to coordinate the preparation of offer letters and other new hire materials
  3. The ability to lead new hire orientation and perform necessary onboarding tasks in the HRIS system (Ceridian/Dayforce).
  4. The ability to work hands-on with Leads, Supervisors, Assistant Managers, and Managers to improve leadership skills.
  5. The ability to onboard, coach, and assist in developing associates at all levels in the warehouse to ensure productivity standards are consistently being met.

Performance Management:

  1. The ability to assist with the performance management process, including but not limited to the evaluation process, performance expectations, the discipline process, etc. 
  2. The ability to assist with employee relations matters and partner with the Human Resources Director on investigation-related matters.
  3. The ability to conduct 90-day and annual check-in meetings.
  4. The ability to conduct exit interviews and job description reviews.

Benefits Administration:

  1. The ability to conduct onsite benefit meetings and assist with benefits initiatives.
  2. The ability to partner with Payroll on payroll-related matters, including audits, etc.
  3. The ability to partner with benefits management on benefits administration and leave management matters.
  4. The ability to assist employees with enrollment as they become eligible for annual enrollment (as requested).
  5. The ability to partner with the Human Resources Director to complete unemployment claims and unemployment hearings.

HRIS System (Ceridian):

  1. The ability to assist colleagues with any issues.
  2. The ability to perform tasks to update employee information, process job changes, etc.

Miscellaneous:

  1. The ability to assist HR Director with administration of onsite workers compensation claims and partner with the workers compensation adjuster on requested information.
  2. The ability to complete other job duties, functions, and projects as assigned.
  3. The ability to manage the employee photo directory for assigned onsite work locations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, Business, or related

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of related applicable experience

  • HR Certification, such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP, a plus – not required

  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered

  • Experience providing HR support to a distribution center and/or manufacturing facility is strongly preferred

  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft programs

  • Experience with Ceridian/Dayforce preferred but not required

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws affecting human resources

  • Knowledge of human resources processes and procedures

  • Knowledge of benefits, recruiting coordination, and employee relations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

  • Strong business ethics, particularly regarding confidentiality

  • Strong attention to detail and follow through skills

  • Ability to maintain a professional disposition and be courteous

  • Ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, peers, management, and customers

  • Ability to collaborate cooperatively with other team members

  • Ability to manage stressful situations and conflicting priorities

Working Conditions:

 

  • Works in a professional office environment

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

  • Role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as a laptop, printer, fax, phone, etc. 

  • This position may have to walk through the distribution facility to meet with employees, tour the facility, and/or provide coaching, training, and development to employees
