Job Description
The Sales Senior Manager manages and directs the operational and personnel activities for assigned sales group(s). Ensures long term and short term sales/business plans align with company vision.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develops, along with top management, short and long-term sales/business plans to align with company goals and objectives.
- Identifies, analyzes and monitors issues that affect profitability, growth, quality and productivity and develops and implements countermeasures.
- Develops a future vision for assigned sales group(s), including the establishment of sales force expansion plans and infrastructure changes.
- Develops sales and promotion programs, product development and/or service plans for assigned business channel(s).
- Represents assigned channel(s) on committees and during corporate planning sessions and industry-wide trade events.
- Coordinates field sales support requirements with other sales groups.
- Coordinates International Trading Group (ITG) policies, requirements and budgets with DENSO Japan (DNJP) staff; develops and implements plans to maximize sales and profits via the ITG agreements.
- Assists associates in developing individual G&O’s and provides coaching, support and assessment to talent.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of sales management theories, processes and terms
- Strong analytical skills to investigate, interpret and reconcile information from several distinct sources in situations where conclusions or resolutions are discernible
- Strong customer service skills
- Negotiation skills to resolve difficult or complicated situations
- Ability to develop and maintain G&O’s
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and good presentation skills
- Advanced level of experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience with Business Intelligence platforms
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- People management
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field
- 13 or more years of relevant experience
