Job Description

Job Description

  • Collaborate with internal team members to create business ideas and communicate with customers to identify potential business items and improvements for existing business items.
  • From external interactions, gathers, distributes, and communicates new business opportunities to internal members to lead and facilitate the business/program strategies.
  • Prepare advanced development goals, milestones, and quotations.
  • Develops, negotiates, tracks, and communicates prototype development
  • Propose and negotiate terms and pricing for new items and work closely with customers to gather feedback and refine proposals.
  • Supports the customers through engaging and exchanging ideas to conceptualize the “needs” and “wants”.
  • Quote new business and Design Change Requests (DCR) and coordinate fulfillment of customer requirements with Engineering.
  • Answer Request for Quotes (RFQs) and determine pricing and lead time for each individual order.

 

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year University or College, or equivalent combination of experience, training, and education.   Technical Degree preferred.
  • Prior automotive field (OEM,  Tier 1 or 2) experience preferred.
  • The ideal candidate has 5 years of professional experience.
  • Must have strong multitasking, project management, organization, and both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic with good time management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Self-motivated team player who demonstrates initiative and flexibility.
  • Prior automotive co-op or internship experience preferred.
  • Must have the flexibility to travel (1 to 2 weeks per year on average).
  • Must have the flexibility to support meetings beyond standard working hours.
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
