Meyer Distributing is looking for an Industrial Supply Outside Sales Representative to join our Arlington, TX team - we are hiring immediately! Meyer Distributing is a leader in automotive specialty products marketing and warehouse distribution.


Requirements for an Industrial Supply Outside Sales Representative :



  • High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree in business or related field preferred.

  • Must maintain a valid driver's license with no recent moving or driving violations, remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.

  • Previous Tools, Sanitation/Janitorial Supply, & Industrial Supply knowledge and sales experience, preferred.

Outside Sales Representative responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Represents Meyer and its interests with the highest regard for customer satisfaction in a professional manner.

  • Travel within assigned territory for daily face-to-face interaction with prospects and customers.

  • Responsible for growth and development of sales and market share within assigned territory.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers.

  • Enter/maintain daily visit notes for all sales visits.

  • Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally.

  • Identify customer buying patterns (top sellers) and implement plan to increase sales or offer alternatives as needed.

  • Sell the company's products/services to customers through product knowledge, manufacturer literature, promotions, customer events, etc. 

  • Monitor the company's competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand specific customer needs.

  • Responsible for company car, credit card, laptop, gas cards and any other company provided equipment.

  • All other duties as assigned.
