Job Description




Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Support the personnel and resources required for the department

  • Lead the Team Members within their area

  • Leader in departmental problem solving and process improvement

  • Responsible for training manufacturing personnel

  • Required to flex into the production line to cover absenteeism

  • Responsible for the team to achieve safety, quality and productivity targets

  • Conduct daily Team meetings (safety, general communications, stretching, HR)

  • Active participant in improving work instructions and communicating their changes

  • Read and interpret Manufacturing Instructions, Quality Documents, product specifications and Engineering blue prints and BOM.

  • Conduct inspections on products at all stages of the manufacturing process and documents findings and results in BMS.

  • Identify the tools/molds used in the manufacturing process, determine if the correct tools are being utilized and be able to locate the tools/molds.

  • Perform process audits of the manufacturing departments and reports findings and recommendations to management.

  • Learn, understand and apply the principles used by K&N in manufacturing

  • Perform other departmental duties as instructed by the department Supervisor






Qualifications




Experience, Skills & Desired Qualifications:



  • Experienced as a lead person in manufacturing and possess excellent leadership skills

  • 3 years of experience in the manufacturing operation

  • Must be able to work and lead in a team-centered environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrate the ability to simultaneously handle multiple duties, prioritize, follow through on all tasks and projects, and meet pre-determined deadlines with limited supervision.

  • Ability to read, understand and create production reports

  • Skilled in the use of the measurement tools

  • Computer literate (word, excel, K&N-BMS)

  • Able to use Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Windows software

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers and in a 1-on-1 or team situation

  • Consistently portray a positive company image to K&N employees, customers & vendors

  • Consistently good attendance


 


Other Position Information



  • This position will be required to work mandatory overtime on an as needed basis

  • This position works a 4-10 schedule, Mon-Thurs (4a-2:30pm)

  • This position is located in facility that is not temperature controlled
