The Warranty Administration Manager will lead the Warranty Department in DENSO’s Long Beach Office. The candidate must have prior managerial or supervisor experience, as well as a bachelor’s degree in a finance related discipline.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Warranty Administration Manager will lead the Warranty Department in DENSO’s Long Beach Office. The candidate must have prior managerial or supervisor experience, as well as a bachelor’s degree in a finance related discipline. In this position, the candidate will:
- Create, monitor and manage company financials and budgets as they relate to warranty and quality.
- Establish and manage controls for warranty claim judgment, acceptance/rejection, payment and reporting to ensure only appropriate claims are paid.
- Accurately monitors claims to ensure senior management has visibility to claim payment and fiscal impact.
- Collaborates with sales and marketing, merchandising, manufacturing, quality, engineering, product development, finance and others to ensure cross-functional communication and resolution of product issues and control warranty costs.
- Develops and records the processing procedures for customers and vendors and develops and maintains warranty agreement records.
- Creates new methodologies to recover warranty costs from suppliers.
- Establishes activities to train Customers and Sales associates to properly inspect parts prior to claim submission.
- Establishes key KPI’s for areas of responsibility to develop daily, weekly and monthly reporting to show current status and improvements in the processing of warranty claims.
- Develops new and kaizens existing processes, procedures, activities to lower warranty liabilities for cost reduction.
- Responsible for departmental budget development and tracking, expense forecasting, managing staff workload and rotations, efficiency improvements, and representation at meetings and conferences.
- Manages the daily work of warranty claims administrators and analysts and aids in problem solving solutions, coaching and counseling associates and fostering high morale within the team environment.
- Aids in setting attainable goals relating to organizational objectives and assesses achievements.
- Ensures that associates are developed and trained for increasing responsibilities, efficiency improvements, analytical capabilities and continuous improvement.
- Ensures that associates are cross-trained and able to support each function to maintain department flexibility and capabilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Excellent project management skills including the ability to define program, project or process objectives, identify customers/stakeholders and their interests, plan steps, and to coordinate resources to accomplish goals and objectives in an effective and timely manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with an ability to independently evaluate and develop innovative solutions to complex situations, applying knowledge of specialty area and use of sound judgment
- Demonstrated competency in working with computer software (Oracle, AS400/BPCS, Microsoft Office Suite and database applications) to retrieve, analyze and reconcile data.
- Demonstrated knowledge of programming logic and prior experience with electronic or web-based warranty processing system development and testing
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability to approach every business relationship as a partnership
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Ability to resolve difficult or complicated situations that are often sensitive in nature.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business, information systems or related field
- More than 10 years of relevant experience
- Previous experience with an automotive distributor, manufacturer or Tier 1 supplier
- Experience with DOMO and Power BI.
Salary Range: $115,800 – $144,800
