Cox Automotive is hiring a Financial Analyst, FinOps.
The Financial Analyst, FinOps will work across Cox Automotive to direct and perform financial analysis and reporting activities in support of short- and long-range technology strategy and operating budgets, focusing on Cloud platform providers and SaaS software. Creates accounting charge backs for an expanding roster of strategic technology vendors. Evaluates data and performs analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for technology spend, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. Develops, implements and monitors financial performance metrics, focusing on Cloud consumption. Consults with product development teams and executive leadership to share cost trends, cost drivers, and optimization opportunities.
Candidates may reside in Atlanta, Georgia or Burlington, Vermont.

Who You Are
An experienced Accounting or Finance professional with an understanding of Cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) cost management.
What You’ll Do
Create monthly accounting chargeback and showbacks for strategic technology spend to allocate costs to different business units or projects
Identify and alert on cloud cost anomalies in a timely fashion
Think independently to solve difficult data problems
Collate, analyze, and prioritize technology optimization recommendations and calculate potential savings
Monitor ongoing cloud expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities, such as unused or underutilized resources
Over time, develop expertise to provide expert knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategies (e.g. rightsizing, reservations, scheduling and scaling, etc.)
Collaborate with product engineering teams to implement cost optimization recommendations and best practices
Utilize data to tell compelling stories by visualizing technology usage, driving technology cost optimization practices within product engineering teams
Stay up to date with industry trends and regulations related to FinOps and technology cost optimization
Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide visibility into technology spending and cost trends.
Conduct in-depth cost analysis to identify cost drivers and areas for improvement.
Conduct analysis of multiple complex cost proposals
Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of demonstrated accounting and finance experience. A candidate may also have a Master's Degree with 2+ years of experience or a Ph.D with 1+ year of experience.
Experience in IT financial management or FinOps
Detailed understanding of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform product line or other Cloud offerings
Strong business acumen, analytical, and with a degree of technical depth or strong interest in adding technical depth
Interested in developing deep knowledge of how purchased technology services are used to meet business needs
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Extensive experience with Microsoft Office products with an emphasis on Excel (particularly the use of PivotTables, graphing, and relevant formulas).
Exhibit sound business judgement, an ability to influence others, analytical skills, and a track record of taking ownership and influencing results
Experience driving high-impact projects spanning multiple teams and numerous stakeholders
Drug Testing:

Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $79,400.00 - $119,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company’s needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
