Job Summary:
JEGS Automotive is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the financial planning and analysis functions of the company. The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing financial data, developing budgets, and providing insights to assist the company’s decision-making process. This role is a good fit for a problem-solver with a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
You Will:
- Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights to improve financial performance.
- Reporting: Support the preparation of financial reports and presentations for management, highlighting key financial metrics, variances, and trends.
- Cost Monitoring: Track and analyze costs, expenses, and budget variances. Assist in identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Assist in developing annual budgets and re-forecasts by collaborating with stakeholders across the business. Regularly review and assess the accuracy of financial forecasts and adjust based on actual performance and changing business conditions.
- Business Support: Partner with different departments to offer financial guidance and support decision-making processes.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial analysis and reporting processes. Assist in implementing best practices and improving efficiency.
- Compliance: Help the finance & accounting team adhere to financial regulations and accounting standards.
You Have:
- Dynamic, self-starting individual who displays initiative and a keen interest in solving problems
- Quantitative degree such as a bachelor’s degree in finance, or a STEM field, or adjacent.
- 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in retail.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and summarize complex financial data.
- Prefer prior experience with financial modeling and/or forecasting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools, such as Power BI, Sigma, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
