Job Description

 

The District Sales Manager is responsible for the leadership, management, and profitability of an assigned sales district within XL Parts. This job is responsible for consistently achieving District sales goals through the direction, organization, coordination, communication, and development of Sales professionals. Travel to Oklahoma will be required in this role.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate new and existing market potential; establish a strategy and develop plans to penetrate or enhance those markets.
  • Spearhead management of customer service and achieve customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to developing effective sales incentive programs.
  • Remain current on sales performance and provide sales reports as required.
  • Increase sales volume through direct sales efforts and by assisting outside sales personnel.
  • Promote a team sales approach between the outside and inside sales personnel.
  • Develop new customers; identify, track, and qualify projects.
  • Works to ensure sales and productivity goals are met.
  • Participate in selecting high-quality representatives throughout the recruiting process
  • Exhibit ongoing effectiveness in coaching staff to project XL Parts Value statement
  • Meet and/or exceed established sales goals
  • Know, comply with and enforce applicable corporate and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Work cooperatively with stores/operations personnel to improve customer service and resolve customer issues
  • Foster close, cooperative relationships with peer leaders and other senior executives.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree preferred but not necessary
  • Knowledge of auto parts or automotive industry preferred
  • Excellent Communication and Influencing Skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in direct sales, or operations management in a business–to–business environment.
  • Exhibits an intermediate level of familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Environmental/Occupational Health and Physical Requirements:

A typical day includes driving with frequent stops and utilizing an iPad for Call Reports. To perform the duties of this job the employee must have a clean driving record.
