The Director of Program Management will help direct and oversee the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure programs and projects meet organizational goals and requirements. The position will be responsible for implementing and enforcing PMO processes and policies, directing project management staff, and will work with department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs. The Director of Program Management will also manage high priority and key projects to support the company, as needed.
CORE FUNCTIONS
· Create strategies, plans, and objectives to meet organizational goals and requirements.
o Prepare and complete action plans.
o Resolve problems, complete audits, identify trends, determine system improvements, and implement change.
· Team Leadership: Build and guide a high-performing program management team, fostering a culture of accountability and results-driven execution to maximize organizational impact.
· Provide leadership in reporting at a corporate level by consolidating all aspects of the PMO deliverables.
o Summarize and highlight risk and opportunity at the corporate level.
o Complete program tracking documentation utilizing PM software and Microsoft Office Software.
· Lead the gate review process and obtain leadership approval.
· Lead the PMO team and provide guidance, clarity, and direction on all aspects of PMO initiatives.
o Manage the team’s daily/monthly workload to ensure the team is able to demonstrate success.
o Manage the PMO team’s appraisals, PTO, and all other supervisory routines.
o Direct the team to originate, organize, and manage timelines.
· Lead regularly scheduled team meetings to ensure proper communication is established across the company for a successful outcome of any type of project or strategic initiative.
· Work directly with customers, both internal and external, as the main interface for the project; act as the first line with a strong, yet fair escalation process.
· Lead and engage in trouble shooting with the team to develop options for success during complex situations.
· Provide functional support to employees on all levels of the organization regarding PM topics.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
· A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Engineering, manufacturing, or business. Master’s degree in business preferred.
· 10+ years of progressive program management experience or combination of program management experience and manager role in another product development function.
· 5+ years of managerial experience.
· Aftermarket and/or OEM product experience in an automotive environment preferred.
· Experience managing cross functional teams and matrix style organizations.
· Experience using program management software is required.
Required Licenses
· PMP certification is preferred.

· Demonstrated strong leadership experience and skills.
· Proficiency in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating project and program risk.
· Financial Acumen – understands project financial KPIs and what drives those KPIs. Ability to track project costs.
· Firm grasp of APQP principles.
· Proficiency with standard software applications (MS Excel, Word, Power point, Project), and familiarity with other web-based applications.
· Ability to effectively present information to top management. Ability to write, speak and comprehend English; secondary language is a plus.
· Strong problem-solving skills.
· Ability to identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors.
· Ability to drive the cross functional team to accomplish program maintenance while utilizing the RealTruck Program Management process and disciplines.
· Ability to work closely with project sponsor and cross-functional teams to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.

Travel
· Occasional travel is required, approximately 10-15%, to meet supplier and internal/external customer needs. Ability to travel to supporting plants in the US and Mexico.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· This position is subject to Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
Visual Acuity
· The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
