General Summary:  
Under the direction of the Senior Brand Director, this Community Marketing Specialist will create and coordinate ambassador/influencer sponsorships, pro-programs, brand partnership programs, and non-profit programs. This position is specifically focused on the trades, ranch and rodeo space. The position requires a focus and prior experience in these areas. The Community Marketing Specialist will also assist in the creation and curation of content and perform other functions as needed. 


 


Essential Job Functions:



  • Build DECKED culture and cult status within the blue-collar vertical of brand focus

  • Understand DECKED community marketing opportunities and respond proactively to build awareness and product sales 

  • Create programs to identify and recruit relevant influencer/ambassadors who can dramatically boost awareness of DECKED through their various channels 

  • Align with relevant non-profit organizations to support their activities and drive DECKED revenue through their membership bases. Partner with Sr. Brand Director on creation of DECKED philanthropy strategy that supports and celebrates this important vertical while collaborating closely with stakeholders in ecom, creative, and more.

  • Forge brand partnerships and create collaborative programs to expose DECKED to partner brand fan bases driving demand and product sales

  • Develop pro-form sales programs to drive DECKED revenue through qualified pro’s in relevant fields of expertise

    • Respond to incoming ambassador and pro-form applications appropriately 



  • Assist the marketing department in the creation and curation of content for use across DECKED’s platforms and properties

  • Engage on social media via personal accounts to act as a DECKED brand advocate for the work category. Interact with DECKED accounts, Ambassadors/influencers, and brand partners as relevant to create conversations and share the brand stoke.

  • Create online promotion and programs calendar and work closely with marketing and sales management to coordinate efforts at retail

  • Develop presentation materials for business reviews/sales meetings

  • Participate in the development of the annual strategic marketing and sales plans

  • Monitor all related budgets to ensure program spending is on target and aligned with DECKED’s overall marketing strategy to support brand building and sales growth  

  • Identify and implement processes and tools to ensure the Decked Ambassador team runs as effectively and efficiently as possible including communications, contract negotiations, billing, event and content planning.

  • Perform other duties as needed and directed by the Brand Director


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Outgoing, enthusiastic, sincere, and honest with impeccable manners and ability to operate comfortably in a wide variety of communities and environments

  • Passionate, knowledgeable, and intrinsically experienced in a blue-collar field.

  • Passionate and knowledgeable in one or more of following: farming, ranching, rodeo, fishing, hunting, general outdoors, firearms, automotive

  • Creative problem solver and thinker, able to operate in highly ambiguous environment to achieve objective results

  • Strong communicator with the ability to understand the market and the DECKED customer 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Team oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to work hard, travel extensively, and work weekends and/or long hours 

  • Proactive, highly motivated, flexible, self-directed with proven problem-solving skills

  • Proven project management skills including planning, time management, prioritization, decision making with excellent communication - both written and verbal 


Education and Experience:  



  • Trade School experience or Bachelors Degree, but proven life/work experience in this category required

  • Some prior experience in developing, coordinating, and executing marketing programs

  • Compensation DOE. Entry level marketing position with room for growth and betterment
