We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Product Manager I. This position reports to the Sr. Product Manager and will work in Pompano Beach, FL.


About the position


As Product Manager I of the Pompano Beach team, you will complete product development and product management tasks critical to taking product ideas from blank piece of paper to a proof of concept.  In this role you will learn how to become Product Manager if you don’t have prior Product Management experience. This role will drive product concepts, develop business cases and product requirements. In addition, be responsible for managing accessories, custom refrigeration products, and supporting other major product lines. They will collaborate closely with the engineering team, engage in hands-on work, understand product and customer needs.  This role will require occasional travel for customer visits and field trials.


Your Main Responsibilities



  • Develop hands-on product concepts for prototyping.



  • Creates and updates 3D models, drawings, procedures, work instructions, manuals, literature, BOM’s, etc., for the development of new products and maintenance of existing products.

  • Ensures quality and thoroughness of engineering documentation.



  • Together with Senior PM the candidate will be involved with product portfolio growth for marine air conditioning and custom refrigeration.

  • Helps develop or update User and Installation Manuals

  • Develops marketing documents to support product positioning and sales efforts.



  • Fabricates prototypes to support new product development as needed.



  • Understand markets, customer needs, segmentation, and competitors.

  • Identify product gaps and generate innovative ideas to grow market share.

  • Define product positioning, USPs, branding, and value-based selling.

  • Act as the internal voice of the customer and understand product needs and quality concerns.

  • Assist in managing the product budget and ensuring cost-effective solutions.

  • Ensure products meet all relevant regulatory and safety standards.

Skills & Requirements


A suitable background would be a solid experience within engineering or product management, as well as the following qualifications and experiences:



  • University or Institute qualifications in Engineering



  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in an Engineering or product management capacity.

  • HVAC-R experience preferred

  • Good documentation, verbal and written communication skills.

  • SolidWorks 3D modeling proficiency is preferred.

  • Detail oriented with results driven analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong hands-on mechanical and fabrication skills.

  • Strong proficiency with MS Office programs including: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint; and the ability to learn other applications quickly.

  • Excellent customer service, management skills and experience.

  • Proficient at merchandizing and promoting products to target markets.

  • Able to analyze target markets and develop forecasts based on this data.

  • Summarize data for a broader audience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a cohesive team.
