Job Description

Under direct supervision the IT Project Manager I is responsible for managing assigned projects within the IT department, ensuring they meet the organization’s goals and requirements. This role involves coordinating project activities, maintaining documentation, and supporting project teams throughout the project lifecycle. The IT Project Manager will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with stakeholders and project teams.


 


Responsibilities

  • Performs business analysis and coordinate project initiation, including development of project charters.

  • Drafts and maintains project plans, which includes scope development, WBS, project management plan, budget, and schedule.

  • Handles initial negotiations of contractual agreements by gathering requirements, liaising with legal teams, vetting and maintaining good relationships with vendors, and tracking costs.

  • Organizes and leads project teams to produce project deliverables that meet schedule, budget, and scope requirements.

  • Maintains relationships with IT and business stakeholders.

  • Manages risks, dependencies, constraints, while ensuring quality throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Compiles project reports for executives and stakeholders by providing regular updates through reports and dashboards.

  • Gathers project closure activities, including lessons learned sessions and depositing all project documentation into the project repository.

  • Prepares comprehensive project management documentation using standardized templates while managing projects in alignment with the PMBOK Guide.

  • Facilitates the dissemination of knowledge and best practices across the PMO.

  • Tracks expenditures and resource hours, compares actuals to portfolio estimates, and communicates changes, as needed.

  • Facilitates new software request tickets.

  • Handles IT Outages.

  • Supports the IT PMO Director in developing annual budgets.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Experience in project management is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.

  • CAPM certification a plus.

  • Smartsheet certification a plus.

Vacation Days and Holidays

You will accrue PTO on the last day of each month, for a total of sixteen (16) days per calendar year. Additional days are earned after four years of full-time service per the policy outlined in our employee handbook (maximum 26 days).


You will receive one (1) business day of regular pay for each holiday for which the company closes. The company currently closes for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.


Insurance

You will be eligible for health insurance coverage on the first day following the completion of your first thirty (30) days of full-time employment.


Tire Rack also offers voluntary dental, vision, life and AD&D, and disability benefits, which you will be eligible to participate in after thirty (30) days of full-time employment.


401(k) Plan

You will also be eligible to participate in the company's 401(k) plan upon reaching age 21 and completing 1,000 hours of service within the 12-month time-period following your date of hire. Your entry date will be the first day of the month coinciding with or next following the date you satisfy both the age 21 and the hours-of-service eligibility requirements. The company will contribute $1.00 in your name for each $1.00 that you contribute to the Plan, up to a maximum of 6% of the employee's eligible compensation. The company's contribution fully vests after three years of full-time employment.
