Position Overview:

The Purchasing Assistant will assist in procuring parts for Turn 14 Distribution customers, support the execution and implementation of new brands and product lines, leverage communication skills to enhance relationships with vendors, and collaborate within the Purchasing department and other Turn 14 Distribution departments.

  Confirm vendors receive Turn 14 Distribution orders after 2 days

  
  


• 
  

  Research price discrepancies between Turn 14 Distribution billed price and anticipated price, and confirm as needed with the accounting department

  
  


• 
  

  Verify and approve data for images, descriptions, and activity status on items in Turn 14 Distribution's system

  
  


• 
  

  Verify pricing of existing items to ensure each item has the correct Turn 14 Distribution discount

  
  


• 
  

  Investigate open orders that remain open but were marked in transit over 30 days ago

  
  


• 
  

  Input received shipping dates from manufacturers 

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate with Divisional Purchasing Managers and vendors to resolve issues

  
  


• 
  

  Configure product names, descriptions, and pricing for new brand loads

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate price change notifications from manufacturers to avoid discrepancies

  
  


• 
  

  Load product images for existing parts and new brands

  
  


• 
  

  Update descriptions for incorrect or outdated fitments

  
  


• 
  

  Gather clearance items and obtain RGA to send back to manufacturers

  
  


• 
  

  Add lists of new products from vendors 

  
  


• 
  

  Identify items held up in receiving, confirm with vendors when necessary

  
  


• 
  

  Discontinue, supersede, and reactivate items as necessary

  
  


• 
  

  Assist other departments in obtaining outstanding resolutions 

  
  


• 
  

  Assist in the resolution of shipping errors

  
  

• 
  

  Automotive knowledge required
