Job Description
Alps Alpine, a leading manufacturer of electronic components and automotive infotainment systems, has brought numerous “First 1” and “Number 1” products since its founding in 1948. The Alps Alpine Group currently operates 110 bases in 26 countries and regions, supplying roughly 40,000 different products and solutions to around 2,000 companies worldwide. Those offerings include devices such as switches, sensors, data communication modules, touch input panels, actuators, and power inductors; electronic shifters, remote keyless entry systems, and other automotive units; consumer electronics like car navigation and audio-visual systems; and systems and services such as digital keys based on a smartphone app and blockchain technology, and remote monitoring.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain and support all pre-production orders by placing, tracking order status, and working with other facilities to ensure action plans reflect accurate build schedules.
- Act as the direct sales contact for the customer. Fulfill all customer requests and account management responsibilities, including Requests for Quotes, sample orders, and submission of timing and development forms for Alps parts. (Maintain accuracy of internal ordering system as necessary, for all account managers)
- Work directly with the Account Manager to update customer information.
- Coordinate the accurate submission of yearly Sales Budget activities with Account managers.
- Review pre-mass production forecasts for entire sales groups’ accounts and make orders when necessary. Update new part releases in the system, and submit design change requests, or other system changes/updates.
- Attend project management meetings, with engineering and plant production members to resolve issues, and coordinate timing of internal events to ensure on-time completion.
- Provide support to Account Managers in managing prototype orders.
- Complete weekly and monthly corporate planning reports that analyze internal GTB data, and overall Auto and Non-Auto market outlook.
- Be responsible for specific customer accounts maintain and grow these accounts.
- Develop new accounts when assigned.
- Provide support to the customer in the absence of the Account Manager and support general requests from the customer for the Account Manager.
- Provide support toward the certification and ensure compliance with customer-required quality management systems (TISAX, TS16949, IATF, etc.)
- Positions that fall under the functions of Product Development, Legal, HR, IT, and Executive Management are required to exercise a higher level of confidentiality and discretion in handling information the positions have access to.
QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.
- Experience in automotive sales administration required.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
- Valid U.S. driver’s license required
